The Anguistralobe Steampunk Necklace is a working miniature of an 18th century instrument to measure the direct path of destiny between specified heavenly bodies. From the Greek ἀστρολάβος astrolabos meaning star-taker is an elaborate inclinometer historically used by astronomers, navigators and astrologers. Its many uses include locating and predicting the positions of the Sun, Moon, Planets and Stars. This is a 16th Century version:
